The country celebrates the month of June as Youth Month with a special focus on the 16 June 1976 Soweto Student Uprisings. President Jacob Zuma has appointed an Inter-Ministerial-Task team to prepare for the commemoration of the 40th Anniversary of the famous protests.

The problems that continue to affect the Youth including unemployment and shortage of skills cannot be overemphasized. For its part, the National Youth Development Agency is tasked with tackling the challenges that the nation’s Youth are faced with.
