Sunday, five people, including a pedestrian, were killed in and around Polokwane in separate collisions.

Traffic Spokesperson Mike Maringa attributes the recent collision in Tzaneen to an unsafe overtaking.

“Four people have died in a horrific accident between Tzaneen and Tarentaal. It’s an accident that involves a Toyota sedan and a loading van which is a bakkie. It is alleged that the driver of a sedan was trying to overtake and collided head-on with an oncoming vehicle.”
