OUTA says the NPA's decision to prosecute Former President Jacob Zuma is exciting.

The Organisation Undoing Tax Abuse (Outa) has welcomed the National Prosecuting Authority’s decision to prosecute Jacob Zuma on charges of corruption, fraud and racketeering.

NPA head Shaun Abrahams announced the decision on Friday afternoon in Pretoria.

Outa’s Wayne Duvenhage, however, has some critical words about Abrahams.

“We are very jubilant, we are excited about the fact that this has eventually come to reality. This is 15 years later, but it is something for SA to celebrate. For too long the NPA has been masterminded by Jacob Zuma to put up barriers and keep him out of the criminal prosecution process but those barriers have now been removed and so while we commend Shaun Abrahams for taking this step, he is the reason it had not happened earlier anyway.”
