The case against Aluta Pasile, the man accused of the brutal murder of the Fort Hare university law student Nosicelo Mtebeni, has been postponed to next week Tuesday in the East London Magistrate’s Court in the Eastern Cape.

National Prosecuting Authority spokesperson Anelisa Ngcakani says the matter was postponed after Pasile requested legal representation.

“The case of the state against Aluta Pasile proceeded, what happened was that yesterday he elected to apply for legal representation. The whole time he said he did not want to apply for legal representation, so yesterday he applied for legal representation. So his attorney was here in court and asked for a postponement to next week the 9th of November for consultation,” says Ngcakani.
