The Northern Cape Department of Education says it is ready to conduct the 2022 mid-year matric exams starting next week. More than three thousand candidates are expected to sit for the senior certificate examination.
Provincial Education Department spokesperson Geoffrey Van Der Merwe says the first subject for the exams will be English.
“A total of 5562 candidates are registered as part-time candidates for the national senior certificate (NSC) examination, whilst 3149 registered for the senior certificate examinations. The department has identified 101 schools which will be used as examination centres. The marking of answer scripts will commence from 2-12 July 2022 and the release of the results is scheduled for 3 August 2022,” says Van Der Merwe.
