Nkosazana Dlamini Zuma who is also running for ANC presidency received an underwhelming 11 votes.

Northern Cape ANC provincial secretary, Deshi Ngxanga says, “At the end of the day you might get all these names emerge or you might get a combination of other names that might also feature into the list that was actually produced by the Northern Cape province. We’re happy it was the first PGC in the country, a peaceful PGC, no fights here, engagements and this is a product of interaction among branches, this is the product of the ANC in the Northern Cape, this is the product that we’ll defend as the Northern Cape going to the national conference.”
