North West youth share views on 2019 polls

The waiting game has begun for South Africans who are curious to find out who will be in charge of Mahlaba Ndlopfu.

Official elections results for the 2019 general elections are expected to be released on Saturday.

While the suspense continues – young people in and around Mogwase areas, in the Moses Kotane Local Municipality in the North West, are divided on whether the polls will bring tangible change.

Most say they have voted, despite issues around service delivery in the area.

Some stayed away due to a lack of trust in politicians.

Authorities had identified Mogwase and few areas around the municipality as protest hotspots.

Residents have, in recent months, been taking to the streets over poor service delivery.
