North West police arrests two suspected hitmen allegedly hired by 20-year-old women in 2016

Police in North West say they have arrested two suspected hitmen who were allegedly hired by a 20-year-old woman to kill her parents and siblings at Mmakau Village in December 2016.

The woman, who was 15 at the time of the murder, is expected to appear in the Brits Magistrate’s Court on Monday.

She is facing five charges of murder, together with the two alleged hitmen.

North West police spokesperson, Amanda Funani says the pair were arrested on Friday.

“The pair were arrested in Brits and Soshanguve respectively on Friday and Saturday after the daughter went to Mmakau Police Station and admitted to killing her family members. The 42-year-old father was a police officer, his wife (40), 18-year-old pregnant daughter, and six-year-old son. The daughter and her two accomplices both aged 23, are facing five counts of murder and armed robbery.”
