The ANC’s discussion document on economic transformation does not signal a break from past policies.

This is according to Political Analyst Ralph Mathekga.

“Some of the concerns are around black ownership and transfer of land, and these have been seen in previous documents of the ANC,” he says.

“The document does not go along with the public rhetoric that talks about radical economic transformation. Rather it talks about trying to accelerate programmes that are already in place, instead of getting rid of those programmes and introducing new ones,” he adds.
