Transport minister, Blade Nzimande, says he does not intend to go ahead with the employment of former South African Airways Board Chair Dudu Myeni in the department.
In a written Parliamentary reply, Nzimande says former Minister of Transport Joe Maswanganyi, intended to appoint her as his special advisor, but the appointment was never finalised.
Nzimande says the process wasn’t formalised because the department requested further information in relation to Myeni’s academic qualification for purposes of verification.
This information was never submitted during the short tenure of Minister Maswanganyi.
