Nkandla saga to spill into 2015

President Jacob Zuma’s Nkadla problems are far from over and the Nkandla saga is expected to drag on into 2015.

Though public protector Thuli Madansela’s report recommended that President Zuma pay back the money spent on his Nkandla home upgrades and other reports have cleared him of any wrong doing, opposition parties continue to insist that he pays back the money and answer questions regarding money spent on the upgrades.

SA now waits to see what will happen when president Zuma visits parliament for the first time in 2015.

On president Zuma’s last visit to parliament; opposition parties demanded that he answers questions regarding Nkandla upgrades. Zuma declined to answer the questions and has not been back to parliament since.

President Zuma is to attend the opening of parliament where he expected to deliver the first State of the Nation Address on 12 February 2015.
