Nigeria’s national football team,  the Super Eagles are on a revenge mission and have declared war on Bafana Bafana ahead of Saturday’s 2019 Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon) qualifier at the FNB Stadium in Johannesburg.

Despite missing three key players, including midfield kingpin, John Obi Mikel, the Super Eagles’ players and their fans are confident of victory which will seal their spot at next year’s tournament in Cameroon.

Bafana Bafana humbled Nigeria 2-0 in their own backyard in their Group E opening qualifier last June. Coach Gernot Rohr and Captain Ahmed Musa have not minced their words ahead of the clash, saying they are here to beat Bafana Bafana.

Talk of revenge hasn’t worried the South African camp with Coach Stuart Baxter saying it’s something to say you are here to exact revenge, but to actually do it is another thing.

While the two teams are at the top of the group and a draw would seal qualification for both of them, Baxter says they will go all out on attack should Libya fail to win against Seychelles.

Nigerian fans are confident their team has what it takes to win the match.

The match will kick off at 15:00 while the other Group E qualifier between Libya and Seychelles starts at 16:30 on the Indian Ocean Island.
