The National Freedom Party (NFP) says the incoming leadership of Zimbabwe should learn lessons that the violation of human rights and disrespect for the rule of law is what led to the fall of President Robert Mugabe.
NFP Chief Whip Nlanhla Khubisa says one of the critical things to do is to restore the Zimbabwean currency.
“Zimbabwe doesn’t have any currency at the moment. The economy is just on the floor. It’s in tatters. So, the challenge that is left now is to come together and work within the ambit of the constitution and law and they must respect the rule of law. They have learnt a lesson that the violation of basic human rights will lead to all these kinds of shenanigans,” says Khubisa.
