NFD contenders fight for play-offs spot

Reading Time: < 1 minute

Three contenders for Premier Soccer League (PSL) promotional play-offs will battle it out for a spot when the National First Division (NFD) League wraps up its season on Sunday.

Jomo Cosmos has already secured a spot in the play-offs. Black Leopards FC, Real Kings and Witbank Spurs will play for a third position in the NFD log which is a ticket to the play-offs.

Black Leopards need only one point to retain their third position in order to participate.

Leopards coach, Joel Masutha says they have home ground advantage: “We know the importance of the game, we have lost our last one, it was just a dent but it was nothing crucial, and definitely we’re going to qualify… playing at home is always an advantage – the main thing is the delivery or application on the day, the records, and what we have done in the past is not going to count on Sunday. I believe the boys will be ready, and then they are not going to disappoint… we will be participating in the play offs definitely.”
