Newly-crowned Miss South Africa 2018, Tamaryn Green, says she aspires to motivate women to reach their strengths and overcome their challenges.

The 23-year-old medical student from Paarl in the Western Cape was crowned at a glitzy event at the Sun Arena at Time square in Pretoria on Sunday.

She was also named Miss Universe South Africa and will compete in the Miss Universe pageant later this year.

Green is the 60th winner of the coveted crown.

“As Miss South Africa I will use my medical knowledge to help and heal. Secondly, as an influencer I will inspire and motivate all the women of South Africa to reach for their strengths and overcome their challenges,” says Green
