The two Limpopo outfits will lock horns at Thohoyandou Stadium at 19h30 kick-off time.

Black Leopards FC Coach Patrick Aussems says he’s excited that he will be sitting on the bench when his side plays against rivals Baroka FC in the DStv Premiership encounter on Tuesday night.

The two Limpopo outfits will lock horns at Thohoyandou Stadium at 19h30 kick-off time. Aussems, who was not on the bench when Leopards lost by two goals to nil against SuperSport United over the weekend, has now received his work permit.

Sitting in the second position from the bottom of the log after losing their first league game, Leopards will be eager to get maximum points to enable them to move up the league log.

The Belgian is aware that it is not easy to play a derby game just after losing a previous encounter.

“I’m happy because I just got my work permit in time I will be able to help the players from the bench we know that we have a tough game is a derby we just lost the game against SuperSport we play at home we will do our best to get three points”.

Meanwhile, Baroka General Manager Richard Mashabane says a victory over Maritzburg United has motivated them ahead of the derby.

“We never won our first game at home since we started in the PSL. So, this is really a good motivation going forward to Black Leopards though we know that is not gonna be an easy game because number one, it’s a derby and number two, Leopards just came from a loss against SuperSport. They are not going to afford to lose a second game. We have to go that game knowing that we are facing a very difficult team.”

Mashabane adds that interim coach Matsemela Thoka will be in charge of the team as coach Dylan Kerr is still on suspension.

Baroka suspended coach Kerr earlier this month on a charge of insubordination. In the other PSL games tonight, Chippa United will host Kaizer Chiefs at Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium.
