TS Galaxy coach Dan Malesela says the financial spin-offs for winning the Nedbank Cup will not be as great as the potential career benefits for his players.
The Mpumalanga club rewrote history when they stunned Kaizer Chiefs to win South Africa’s biggest cup prize in Durban at the weekend – becoming the first National First Division (NFD) club to claim the title in the process.
Galaxy pocketed R7-million for their success, but Malesela says when the money is split, it becomes a very small amount.
