President Jacob Zuma’s slate has continued its dominance at the party’s elective congress as the new ANC National Executive Committee is largely made up of people who campaigned for him.
The new 80 member body consists of many current cabinet members as well as new faces that have supported Zuma’s re-election. Among those who did not make it into the new NEC are Paul Mashatile, Tokyo Sexwale, Mathews Phosa, Fikile Mbalula, Lulu Xingwana, Cassel Mathale and Thabang Makwetla.
