An exibition being held in Durban illustrates how Ndebele art exploded into greatest postmodern art and architecture of Southern Africa and how ordinary, everyday people become sculptors, huts become palaces, beaded paintings becomes the expression of individuality.
The Postmodern Ndebele exhibition at the Phansi Museum has been opened by the Chair of Architecture at the University of KwaZulu-Natal. Professor Franco Frescura , who has done extensive work on Ndebele culture and way of life spoke to Morning Live about the exhibition.
