The national Women’s Day celebrations were hosted in Umlazi township in Durban KwaZulu-Natal. President Jacob Zuma delivered the keynote address, which focused on strides made to realise women’s empowerment. Minister for Women in the Presidency, Susan Shabangu, and Arts and Culture minister Nathi Mthethwa, were the program directors.
