Communications Minister Nomvula Mokonyane says the committee's interim report will not yet be released.

National government has taken over the running of five North West departments.

These are the Office of the premier, Departments of Community Safety and Transport Management, Basic Education and Sports Development, Health as well as Public Works and Roads.

Government will also intervene in five more departments that include Finance, Economy and Enterprise Development, Local Government and Human Settlement Rural, Environment and Agricultural Development, Social Development and Tourism.

The Inter-Ministerial Committee for the North West now includes six more ministers, including ministers of Basic Education and Human Settlements and Social Development.

Communications Minister Nomvula Mokonyane however says the committee’s interim report will not yet be released.

“You will not have a report done because there is no report that is conclusive. We need to get more information. It is an on-going type of exercise.”
