Reading Time: < 1 minute

The majority of members of the National Assembly have now left Cape Town and returned to their constituencies ahead of the end of year holidays.

There are three committees, however, that still need to complete their oversight duties including the inquiry into corporate governance at Eskom.

The NCOP will on the other hand have one last sitting on Tuesday.

The National Council of Provinces holds its last plenary where it is expected to pass a few budget related pieces of legislation.

The National Assembly’s Pubic Enterprises Committee will continue with the Eskom Inquiry.

Those expected to appear this week include Deputy Public Enterprises Minister Ben Martins.

The Standing Committee on Finance will meet SARS to follow up on the Jonas Makwakwa and Vlok Symington matters and receive further response to SARS Commissioner Tom Moyane’s letter on the KPMG report on the SARS intelligence unit among others.

On Wednesday Scopa will hold hearings on Transnet contracts as well as deviation and expansion.
