The Mpumalanga Health Department says there is a slight decrease in malaria cases compared to last month. More than seven-thousand-300 cases of Malaria have been reported in the province since April 2016.
About 1200 were recorded last month alone.
“Due to the outbreak of this financial year that started last year April to now , we decided as the department to extend the temporal sprayers for another two months so that they will be spraying until February,” said Mandla Zwane, provincial director of communicable disease and TB.
