N West constable arrested for robbery

A 33 year-old police constable working at Brits Police Station in the North West has been arrested for robbery in Limpopo province. The suspect and his co accused were allegedly in a crime syndicate, robbing a number of targeted businesses in Giyani.

They also robbed a female university student of money.  Police spokesperson in Limpopo Moatshe Ngoepe says they are still on the manhunt for other suspects involved. Ngoepe says all suspects will appear in court on Monday.

“Our preliminary investigations have revealed that one of the arrested suspects is the 33 year-old police constable attached to Brits Police Station in the North West Province and residing in this province in Sekororo. The arrested suspects will appear before the Giyani Magistrate’s Court on Monday. A manhunt for the remaining other suspects is still unfolding.”
