Myeni given another date to appear before parliamentary inquiry

Reading Time: < 1 minute

Former South African Airways Board Chairperson Dudu Myeni has been given until Friday at noon to indicate whether she will be able to attend the parliamentary inquiry into Eskom affairs.

The committee wants her to appear on Tuesday next week. On Wednesday, Myeni informed the inquiry’s chairperson Zukiswa Rantho that she had a medical condition that made it impossible for her to travel to Cape Town.

Last week, she sent a text message stating that her lawyer was overseas and that she needed to check the legality of her appearing before the parliamentary inquiry.

“ We have written a letter again to Ms Myeni, we’ve sent the letter today ( Thursday)  and we are expecting her to respond by tomorrow (Friday)  at 12h00. She must respond to the invitation letter, if possible she can write even today to the committee of the secretary, we are inviting her to the inquiry on Tuesday,” says  Rantho.
