Reading Time: < 1 minute

A film about the late South African political activist, Dulcie September, “Murder In Paris”, is on the entertainment menu of the country’s 23rd annual Encounters International Documentary Film Festival.

The movie, directed by Enver Samuel, is a political crime thriller that traces the motives for the assassination of the freedom fighter in March 1988 in front of her flat in the French capital.

Film lovers can also look forward to three other documentaries from the African continent on the programme.

” The Last Shelter ” from Mali, ” Zinder ” from Niger, and ” I am Samuel “, from Kenya are some of the films from the African continent.

The organisers say the annual event brings audiences closer to the best in documentary-making from the African Continent.
