Zimbabwean President Robert Mugabe has dismissed suggestions that Zimbabwe is a failed or fragile state.

He says his country is the highest developed country in Africa, after South Africa.

Mugabe was speaking Durban at a panel discussion at the World Economic Forum on Africa on the issue of fragile states on Thursday.

“Yes we have our problems but certainly we have achieved, we have resources perhaps more resources than the average country in the world, gold, diamond, chrome, coal and our agriculture is very payable, we are not a poor country we cannot be fragile country when we have these resources”
