MSL kicks off next Friday

The Cricket Mzansi Super League (MSL) is set to start Next week Friday (16th November). The league is set to take place across six different cities in the country.

All the games will be broadcasts live on SABC3 Channel and radio stations.

The format, which includes six teams, will start by each team playing in the round robin phase twice one home and one away game against each other.

The top three teams will qualify for knockout games whilst the top will host the final.

The league will be enjoyed over a period of four weeks and the teams from Gauteng include – Jozi Stars and Tswane Spartans; from KwaZulu-Natal – Durban Heat; Eastern Cape – Nelson Mandela Bay Giants and from the Western Cape – Paarl Rocks and Cape Town Blitz.

The final game of the league is scheduled to be played on the 16th of December.

“We want to broadcast our talents to all over the world and we really want the local public to come and support this because I reckon it’s going to be really good cricket. We are very fortunate as a youngster to when we get into a team where you’ve got really good players.  To have guys like especially Eoin Morgan who brings in a different culture from where he plays,” says Proteas and Tshwane Spartans batsman, Theuns de Bruyn.
