Mpumalanga targets 2 million registrations

The IEC in Mpumalanga has urged its residents to exercise their right and register to vote in the 2014 general election as this coming weekend (8/9 February) is the final chance to register before the elections.

IEC spokesperson in Mpumalanga, Sibusiso Nkosi, says they are hoping to register at least two million voters in the province. To date just over 1, 7 million people have registered to vote in the province.

“We are currently standing at 1 750 plus voters which is a figure which comprises of the 77 thousand voters which were registered during the November registration weekend. Our dream is to have 2 million people registered on our voters roll as Mpumalanga.”
