The Mpumalanga Department of Education is calling on all parents in the province to register pupils for the 2019 academic year.
Departmental spokesperson, Jasper Zwane says registration starts on Wednesday and will continue until the end of July.
He encouraged parents to use this opportunity as this will make it easy for the department to provide support material and resources in time for the start of the academic year.
“Parents are expected to bring certificates, immunisation cards and also to indicate where they are staying because those that are staying not far from the school will be given first preference. Those that are working not far from the school will be given a second preference and others will be admitted on a first come first serve basis. We are doing this so that we can know by the end of July how many learners are in our schools system.”
