Mpumalanga executive to be sworn in

Members of the Executive Council appointed by Mpumalanga Premier Refilwe Tsipane are expected to be sworn in on Wednesday.

Tsipane appointed her executive that consist of five men and five women on Tuesday.

Among the new MECs is the former Emalahleni Mayor, Lindiwe Ntshalintshali and former Mbombela Municipality Speaker, Mandla Msibi.

Premier Tsipane says she has no doubt that all the appointed MEC’s will perform their functions to the best of their abilities.

“What I am presenting before you I have consulted with the organisation, my organisation and the alliance and none of them has been changed. I’ve not been coerced to add anyone from the very same list of people that I had in my head.”
