Mamelodi Sundowns president, Patrice Motsepe, has unveiled his 10-point action plan at the launch of his Confederation of African Football (CAF) Presidential Manifesto.

Motsepe hopes to become the first person from Southern Africa to be elected as CAF president when the elections take place in 15 days’ time. He says there is a need to restructure CAF and member associations must invest in sustainable football development.

Motsepe and Safa president, Danny Jordaan, have been travelling the continent in recent weeks to garner support and also to familiarise themselves with football administration in Africa.

I was laughing when I was asked why I didn’t first run for PSL Chairmanship. Why must I run for positions where there are people better than me? Dr Khoza has done brilliant job (at PSL). #DannyJordaan as SAFA President is doing a wonderful job. – #PatriceMotsepe#CAF #SABCNEWS pic.twitter.com/fLM40GdgL8
