Port Elizabeth police have confirmed that two people have been killed in a shooting incident in New Brighton in Port Elizabeth.
Earlier this week, there were two other fatal shootings in the same area, of which one was the murder of Nelson Mandela Bay Black Business Caucus Chairperson, Lungelo Ningi.
He was shot dead outside a butchery in Zwide.
Police Spokesperson Andre Beetge says three people were shot at. Two died instantly while the third person has been admitted to hospital. He says details about the latest incident are still sketchy.
The motive for these shootings this week is still unknown and police investigations continue. The shooting involving Ningi earlier this week was preceded by an argument with an unknown man.
