Mosimane on his future, Sundowns, Billiat and Meza

Reading Time: 2 minutes

Mamelodi Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane has dismissed reports that he might leave the team.

Weekend reports alleged that Mosimane is at loggerheads with some of the management staff.

The former African Coach of the Year attended the press conference to launch the new Absa Premiership season in Johannesburg on Monday. His contract at the team is going to finish at the end of the season.

Mosimane has been with the Brazilians for more than five years. He is the longest-serving coach in the team since President Patrice Motsepe bought the team in 2004.

He has won four league titles with the team, the CAF Champions League and several knockout trophies. He says he is at the PSL champions because he loves the team.

There have been reports recently linking Khama Billiat back to Sundowns. Billiat left the Brazilians last season to join Kaizer Chiefs but rumours are suggesting that he is not happy at Amakhosi. Mosimane did not divulge much regarding the reports.

Venezuela striker Jose Ali Meza has been linked with Maritzburg United in recent days, but apparently, Maritzburg coach Eric Tinkler wants the Venezuelan to undergo trials at the club.

Sundowns will play in the CAF Champions League against AS Otoho dÓyo from Congo Brazzaville after the league match against SuperSport United this weekend. – Report by Vincent Sitsula
