Mamelodi Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane is pleased that his star midfielder Andile Jali is back in the national team.
Jali was included in the national team by coach Molefi Ntseki after many years on the sidelines. He has been in sublime form for his team locally and also in the CAF Champions League.
However, Mosimane was disappointed that defender Motjeka Madisha was omitted from the team to face Sao Tome and Principe in two matches at the end of the month in the Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
Madisha has been a pillar of strength at the back also locally and in the Champions League.
Sundowns will play against Highlands Park in the Nedbank Cup quarter-final clash at Makhulong Stadium in Tembisa on Saturday.
Mosimane is hoping that the match does not go to extra time.
Highlands coach Owen Da Gama claimed that many of his star players will miss the Sundowns match owing to various injuries, but Mosimane expects all their top players to be available.
Sundowns narrowly beat Stellenbosch 1-0 in a league match in Cape Town on Wednesday night. After Highlands they will tackle arch-rivals Orlando Pirates in another league encounter at Loftus Versfeld Stadium in Pretoria on Tuesday night. Mosimane says Pirates is a very well-rested team.
