Morne Morkel to retire after Australia Test series

South African fast bowler, Morne Morkel has made an announcement that he will retire from all forms of international cricket after the four-match Test series against Australia.

Morkel made the announcement in Durban where the first test match starts on Thursday. Morkel made his debut for the Proteas in a test match against India back in 2006.

The 33-year-old has also cited family reasons as the reason for his decision.

He has played 83 test matches to date, taking 283 wickets with seven five wicket hauls and formed a formidable fast bowling trio with Dale Steyn and Vernon Philander.

He also played 117 One Day Internationals and 44 T20 Internationals.
