More rains expected in KZN over the Easter weekend

The South Africa Weather Service has forecast more rain in KwaZulu-Natal over the Easter Weekend. At least 341 people have died in flooding in the province.

Transport Minister Fikile Mbalula, Water and Sanitation Minister Senzo Mchunu and Human Settlements Minister Mmamoloko Kubayi will visit areas in the province on Friday.

Earlier in his Easter message, President Cyril Ramaphosa urged South Africans to reach out in prayer and material assistance to the people of KwaZulu-Natal who have been badly affected by the flooding in their province.

Some people have been reported missing. The provincial government is saying that they are still quantifying the damage that has been caused by these floods.

Forecasters are saying in the coming days they are expecting more rains in the province.
