The Umkhonto we Sizwe Military Veterans Association (MKMVA) has added its voice to those condemning the Sidikiwe, Vukani, Vote No campaign led by former intelligence minister and African National Congress (ANC) struggle veteran Ronnie Kasrils.

The MKMVA has labelled Kasrils a counter-revolutionary and an enemy of the people.

MKVA chairperson Kebby Maphatsoe says, “When he was the minister of intelligence by then he dismissed most of the cadres of Mkonto weSizwe because he wanted to sell our intelligence to the imperialists during our reconstruction. It is clear that from the beginning uncle Ronnie has never been with us, he has been the enemy of our revolution.”

The campaign urges people to vote for other parties besides the ANC and Democratic Alliance (DA) or spoil their votes on May 7, 2014.
