The DA is appealing to Public Protector Busisiwe Mkhwebane to release a report into Bosasa's donation to President Cyril Ramaphosa

Democratic Alliance (DA) national spokesperson Solly Malatsi says as the party they of the view that Public Protector Busisiwe Mkhwebane’s report is long overdue.

The DA is appealing to the Public Protector to release a report into Bosasa’s donation to President Cyril Ramaphosa.

Malatsi says the initial complaint was laid in November 2018.

On Monday, DA leader Musi Maimane also called for the immediate release of the Public Protector’s report.

Mkhwebane is alleged to have found President Ramaphosa in violation of the Constitution and the executive code of ethics.

This is according to a leak from the Public Protector’s report into her on-going investigation into the President.

Both Mkhwebane and the Presidency are not commenting on the veracity of the claim.
