Miss World 2021 has temporarily postponed its global broadcast finale in Puerto Rico due to the health and safety interests of contestants, staff, crew and the general public.
A statement posted online by the pageant organisation says the decision to postpone, followed a meeting with virologists and medical experts hired to oversee the event and discussions with the Puerto Rico Health Department.

This after additional positive cases were confirmed this morning. Once the contestants and staff are cleared by health officials and advisors, they will be allowed to return to their home countries.
The organisers say the finale will be rescheduled at Puerto Rico Coliseum Jose Miguel Agrelot within the next 90 days.
Shudufhadzo Musida, who was crowned Miss South Africa 2020, will represent the country at Miss World 2021.
She is up against 109 contestants from other countries.
