Minister Pandor test drives the Joule

South Africa has the potential to reduce greenhouse gas emissions from the transport sector. This is according to Science and Technology Minister Naledi Pandor, who took a drive around the Durban CBD in South Africa’s only home grown electric car, the Joule.

She started and ended her trip at the Chief Albert Luthuli International Convention Center where there are climate change talks, COP17. SABC Science Reporter Horisani Sithole took the ride with the Optimal Energy CEO Kobus Meiring and the Minister and has filled this report.
