South Africa will deploy military medics to Gauteng to ease the burden on healthcare workers as new COVID-19 infections continue to rise.
The province remains the epicentre of the outbreak, recording over 7 500 new cases in the last reporting period, while the country clocked over 11 700.
During a briefing, along with experts on the progress made by Government, Acting Health Minister Mmamoloko Kubayi-Ngubane has also announced that vaccinations have now breached the 2-million mark.
