Singer and actress Miley Cyrus and actor Liam Hemsworth have married, according to social media.
Black and white photographs posted by Cyrus on her official Twitter account (@MileyCyrus) on Wednesday (December 26) showing the couple in an embrace, with Cyrus wearing a white gown, and video of the singer dancing with Hemsworth singing have sparked comments of congratulations in response.
Singer-songwriter and music producer, Mark Ronson, who recently worked with Cyrus on new track “Nothing Breaks Like A Heart”, posted a video of himself playing guitar and whistling wedding song, “Here Comes The Bride”, then congratulating the couple. He wrote in the tweet that was retweeted by Cyrus:
“Special here comes the bride cyrus/hemsworth remix for 2019. Congratulations u two xo @MileyCyrus @LiamHemsworth”.
Cyrus also replied with three love heart emojis to another tweet by author and producer, Nicholas Sparks. Commenting on the black-and-white photograph of Cyrus and Hemsworth embracing, Sparks wrote:
“This makes me so happy. Congratulations @MileyCyrus and @LiamHemsworth”.
Cyrus first met Australian actor Hemsworth in 2009 on the set of her film “The Last Song,” where the two played lovers.
Former Disney Channel star Cyrus, who shot to fame as the lead in “Hannah Montana,” has tried to shed her teen idol image over the years. She captured headlines in 2013 with a provocative and raunchy performance at the MTV Video Music Awards ahead of her upcoming album, “Bangerz.”
Hemsworth has played a leading role the young adult film franchise “The Hunger Games” and taken on action roles in “The Expendables 2” and “Paranoia.”
