Parliament says a new date for the formal disciplinary hearing of suspended secretary Gengezi Mgidlana will be determined and communicated to him soon.

This comes after the institution indicated that it would continue to pursue disciplinary action after the High Court in Cape Town dismissed with costs Mgidlana’s attempts to interdict the process.

“With the dismissal of the case to interdict the disciplinary hearing against the Secretary to parliament who is on precautionary suspension, it means that the new date will be immediately determined, so that it can be communicated to him, so that the process can the unfold and concluded without delay,” says Parliamentary spokesperson Moloto Mothapo.
