Metrobus commuters at Ghandi square in the Johannesburg CBD are protesting, reportedly over changes in the bus schedules.
They say the changes are causing them to be late for work.
The situation is said to be tense.
Joburg metro police spokesperson Wayne Minnaar says: “There’s currently a protest at Ghandi Square in the Johannesburg CBD. The damage to property I cannot confirm at this stage, but I can confirm a protest at Ghandi Square.”
He says officers are being sent to bring the situation under control.
