With 93.38% of the voting districts declared in the City of Cape Town Metropolitan Municipality, the Democratic Alliance is leading followed by the African National Congress and the Economic Freedom Fighters in third place.
Cape Town has a population of 4 005 015 people. In the 2016 Municipal elections, 1 980 921 people were registered to vote and only 64.2% of the registered voters cast their vote.
