French forward Kylian Mbappe 19, who was at the center of France’s World Cup glory, will be donating half a million dollars to charities for children with disabilities.
Mbappe, who himself grew up in extreme poverty became the youngest player to score in a World Cup final since the legendary Pele as France beat Croatia 4-2 on Sunday to lift the coveted trophy.
The amount is close to a third of Mbappe’s monthly salary from his club team, Paris-Saint Germain.
The teenager will now be working with an association that organizes sporting events for children with disabilities.
