Mayambela thanks Chippa United supporters

Chippa United midfielder, Mark Mayambela has thanked the Eastern Cape fans for their tremendous support for the team throughout the season.

Mayambela says it’s also a privilege for him to play for an Eastern Cape-based team because of his Xhosa background.

The Cape Town born-player adds that the club enjoys playing in different parts of the Eastern Cape.

“We also play friendly games in Umtata and the reception we get is overwhelming. You can see the love of abantu base Eastern Cape which is great for the team and also a great morale boost for us. We have played in East London and we have never lost a game in East London because the people that comes to watch the game they show uthando and respect for us,” says Mayambela.

The team will play their last Absa Premiership match of the season when they meet Polokwane City in Polokwane on Saturday.

The Chilli Boys are currently sitting on the eighth position on the log table, and against City they will be eyeing for three points to cement their top eight spot.
