South African cricket coach, Mark Boucher, finally has a date for his disciplinary hearing. It’s been set down for 16th to 20th May when he’ll have to answer to charges of gross misconduct.

The charges stem from allegations that he sang racist songs in his playing days. The allegations were made at the Social Justice and Nation Building Project’s hearings into South African cricket.

That means he will accompany the Proteas when they leave for New Zealand on Wednesday for a two-match test series.

He will also be in charge of the national team for the visit by Bangladesh in March and April.

Advocate Terry Motau SC will chair the hearing.
