2018 matric examination marking has been concluded.

The marking of matric exams has been concluded. The Basic Education Department says it’s now busy with the capturing and verification of the marks.

Departmental officials are set to meet with quality assurance body UMALUSI on Sunday to present a report on the exam processes.

Spokesperson Elijah Mhlanga says measures are in place to ensure the release of the results on the third of next month.

“We’re pleased to announce that marking is concluded, it’s done. It was finished yesterday, so what’s happening now is capturing of marks as well as verification of the marks that are being captured, something that’s going on yesterday, today and tomorrow and we expect that they’ll finish that process on Monday,” says Mhlanga.
